Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge of Sami.

The Community Development Administration consists of three departments: citizen service, strategic community planning, and the technical department. The administration is responsible for ensuring service to citizens and businesses, for the strategic planning of community building, as well as for the municipality's water and sewage operations, waste management, property, and project organization as support for these operations in new and reinvestments.

We at Åre Municipality are now looking for new colleagues for our water unit. We are looking for someone with interest and expertise in pipeline networks. As a Water Engineer with us, you will become a key person in the work of developing and improving the municipality's water infrastructure. You will be part of a team of four engineers in pipeline networks and part of a knowledgeable and dedicated team of other water engineers (a total of 11 people) where we work closely together to solve complex challenges and build a sustainable water supply for the future.

Job responsibilities will include:

• Working broadly with operational and strategic tasks
• Driving your own projects related to investment and reinvestment
• Representing the water collective in the work with detailed plans
• Setting requirements for external developers and assisting with expert knowledge

QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineer with relevant education in water, community building, or similar.
• Experience from the water industry, specifically design or investigation is meritorious, but it is also important that you have the right drive and commitment.
• Communicates well in Swedish both verbally and in writing.

You thrive on working from a structured approach and can analyze and prioritize effectively. As a person, you can work both independently and in a team, and you demonstrate a humble attitude that promotes both improvements and the common goal. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
